Mortal Kombat Trilogy
SLES-00528
Initially Released 1 December 1996
Mortal Kombat Trilogy is a 1996 fighting game released by Midway as the second and final update to Mortal Kombat 3, adding characters and stages from all earlier Mortal Kombat entries alongside new mechanics including the Aggressor bar and the Brutality move. Five PAL variants are catalogued across France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK, covering Original, Platinum, and Midway Classics release types, presented across Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL, Multiway Jewel One Disk, and Full Jewel PAL case formats. Original pressings carry no hologram, while Platinum and Midway Classics editions carry a Hologram. The two Original variants, one in Mini Jewel and one in Multiway Jewel formats, cover the same broad multi-country territories. A separate Midway Classics pressing and a Platinum variant under a distinct later serial were released for the UK. A notably varied physical release set for a major mid-1990s fighting game.
