Monopoly

Monopoly is a PlayStation adaptation of the classic board game, developed by Gremlin Interactive and originally published by Hasbro Interactive, later appearing under the Infogrames label. PAL collectors will find a notably complex release landscape, with thirteen catalogued variants spanning the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. Release types include original pressings, Reprint and Best Of Infogrames budget re-releases, and Platinum editions. An unusual feature of the original pressings is the use of localised front cover artwork, with separate English, French, and German cover variants documented alongside an unlocalised pressing. All variants are housed in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc and support Dutch, English, French, German, and Spanish. The earliest PAL release is dated 15 November 1997. Research notes indicate several of the later Reprint, Best Of, and Platinum variants date from approximately 2004, published under the Infogrames label. The hologram types on the cases are unconfirmed.
