Monkey Hero

Monkey Hero, known in Europe as The Adventures of Monkey Hero, is a role-playing game developed by Blam! and published by Take-Two Interactive. Inspired by titles such as The Legend of Zelda and Secret of Mana, players guide Monkey and his bamboo staff through dungeons and puzzles to stop the Nightmare King from stealing the Magic Storybook. PAL collectors will find five catalogued variants. The UK and Spain share a serial, while France and Germany share a second serial, and Italy carries a third. A Value Series Black Label budget edition is also documented for the UK. All releases are housed in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc and support English, French, German, and Italian. The earliest PAL release is dated 15 May 1999. The Spanish pressing is noted for carrying a rectangular orange “Promocion Limitada ES” case sticker. The hologram types on the cases are unconfirmed.
