Missile Command
SLES-02245
Initially Released 16 November 1999
Missile Command is a 1999 PlayStation reimagining of the 1980 Atari arcade classic, developed by Meyer Glass Interactive and published by Hasbro Interactive following Hasbro’s acquisition of the Atari catalogue, released on 16 November 1999. The game updates the original trackball-controlled city-defence concept with 3D graphics and additional mission-based content while retaining the core ICBM-interception gameplay.
The PAL release landscape comprises four catalogued variants split across two serials, with SLES-02245 covering the UK and the Italy-and-Spain pairing, and SLES-02482 covering the French and German markets. All variants share consistent physical characteristics, shipping as single-disc releases in Full Jewel PAL cases carrying Hologram B stickers as the production-window marker. Loose paperwork documented for this release includes the Atari Welcome to AtariLand Catalogue (reference 078.ATIN.MA/2), a Hasbro/Atari pack-in catalogue from the period that is often missing from second-hand copies, making complete-with-paperwork examples meaningfully more valuble to completionist collectors.
