MDK is a third-person shooter originally developed by Shiny Entertainment for PC and ported to PlayStation by Neversoft, published in Europe by Interplay. The game follows janitor Kurt Hectic as he attempts to save Earth from gigantic alien mining vehicles called Minecrawlers, armed with a sniper-equipped coil suit and accompanied by eccentric inventor Dr. Fluke Hawkins. One PAL variant is catalogued, covering the UK, France, and Germany under serial SLES-00599, released on 10 November 1997. The release ships in a Full Jewel PAL case with Hologram A on the case, on a single disc supporting English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. The breadth of language support on a single disc, combined with the Hologram A case, makes this a well-packaged release for a title that performed strongly on PC and held up respectably on the PlayStation port.
