Legend is a side-scrolling hack and slash beat ’em up developed by Toka and published by Funsoft, originally conceived by Carlo Perconti and Lyes Belaidouni at Arcade Zone, the duo who later founded Toka. The game takes place in the medieval kingdom of Sellech, where players control knight warriors Kaor and Igor in a bid to defeat the corrupt Clovis before he harnesses the imprisoned power of the tyrant Beldor.

A single PAL variant has been catalogued, a broad multi-territory Original release covering the UK, France, Germany, and Italy. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a single English-language disc and a release date of 15 December 1998, carrying serial SLES-00730.

Legend received mixed reception on original release, with praise for its visuals but criticism for repetitive gameplay. Funsoft was a smaller European publisher and the title has remained obscure. Complete copies are not frequently encountered, making this a modestly rare find for collectors of late-1990s beat ’em up titles.
