K-1 The Arena Fighters
SLES-00767
Initially Released 15 May 1997
K-1 The Arena Fighters is a kickboxing game developed by Daft Co. and published in Europe by THQ, based on the real-world K-1 Grand Prix kickboxing competition. Players choose from eight fighters inspired by real kickboxers and compete in single matches, tournament play, or team challenges, with motion-captured animations giving the combat an authentic feel.
A single PAL variant has been catalogued, a multi-territory Original release covering the UK, France, and Italy. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a single English-language disc and a release date of 15 May 1997, carrying serial SLES-00767.
As a genuine K-1 licensed product from the mid-PlayStation era, this title has modest appeal for fighting game and combat sports collectors. The limited European territory coverage and single pressing make this a relatively uncommon find. Complete copies take some locating given the limited original distribution.
