Judge Dredd

Judge Dredd is a light gun rail shooter developed and published by Gremlin Graphics. Although it arrived shortly after the 1995 film, it draws on the original comic, casting the player as Dredd rescuing the mayor from an escaped ex-judge and his android army. Live-action cutscenes close each stage, and the game was poorly received on release, which has not harmed its cult interest among collectors.

Three variants are catalogued, all sharing the serial SLES-00755 and a single English language disc in a Full Jewel PAL case. The Original pressing dates from 1 November 1997 and was distributed widely across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway. Two later Zoo Classics variants follow, one covering the UK, France, Italy and Spain, and another still awaiting country details. Both Zoo Classics entries are recorded with a Hologram B on the case.

For collectors, the contrast between the broad Original release and the later budget Zoo Classics reissue is the main point of interest, and the pending entry shows that research into this title is still ongoing.
