International Superstar Soccer Pro '98

SLES-01218
Initially Released 2 October 1998

International Superstar Soccer Pro ‘98, officially abbreviated as ISS Pro 98, is a football simulation game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and published by Konami for the PlayStation. Building on the ISS Pro lineage, it featured wide national team coverage, realistic player animations, and improved AI, and is remembered fondly as one of the stronger football simulations of its era. Three PAL variants are catalogued across two serials. The UK release and a combined France, Germany, Spain, and Netherlands pressing share the serial SLES-01218, while the Italian release carries SLES-01264. All three were released on 2 October 1998, in Full Jewel PAL cases with Hologram A on their cases. Of particular note is the bundled Metal Gear Solid demo included with each copy, accompanied by a Konami 0.3 1999 Catalogue and a Metal Gear Military Hardware Demonstration Booklet, plus a rectangular silver sticker advertising the demo. Complete examples retaining all inserts and stickers are the most desirable.
