Hogs of War

Hogs of War is a turn-based tactics game developed by Infogrames Sheffield House and published by Infogrames, setting anthropomorphic pigs in a First World War-themed conflict with wit and slapstick humour. The game draws clear comparisons to the Worms series, with squad-based combat across 3D environments and support for both single-player and offline multiplayer. Voice artistry from British comedic actors Rik Mayall and Marc Silk gives the title a distinctly British personality. Originally developed by Gremlin Interactive from 1997, the project passed to Infogrames following an acquistion. Ten PAL variants are catalogued across Original, Best Of Infogrames, and Zoo Classics release types, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. The UK Original carries a Hologram A case sticker, while later budget editions feature Hologram B. The UK Original released 8 June 2001. A cult classic that has retained a strong following, with remaster work confirmed in production at the time of writing.
