Gran Turismo

Gran Turismo is a sim racing game developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, directed by Kazunori Yamauchi. After five years of development, the title sold over ten million copies worldwide and became the best-selling PlayStation game, widely considered one of the finest racing games ever made. PAL collectors will find ten catalogued variants spanning the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, across original and Platinum re-release types. All releases share a single serial and are housed in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc, each carrying a Hologram A on the case. Several original pressings are documented with a round black and yellow “DUAL SHOCK COMPATIBLE” case sticker. Two Italian original pressings with different EAN barcodes are catalogued. The earliest PAL release is dated 10 May 1998. Gran Turismo remains one of the most recognisable and actively collected PlayStation titles in the PAL region.
