Gex: Deep Cover Gecko

Gex: Deep Cover Gecko, also known as Gex 3, is a 3D platformer developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive. Gex returns to the Media Dimension to rescue Agent Xtra from Rez, with each level parodying a different aspect of television. In the UK and European releases, Gex is voiced by Danny John-Jules.

Eleven PAL variants are catalogued across the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, with the earliest release dated 15 April 1999. Release types include the Original pressings, plus Riccochet and Value Series Riccochet budget reissues. Languages covered are English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, and all variants are single disc releases in Full Jewel PAL cases.

Loose paperwork is documented for the game in the form of an Eidos Interactive Collection Catalogue.

The split into two serial families, one for the UK, Italy and Spain and another for France and Germany, adds a useful layer of detail. With so many reissues, it is a rewarding title for collectors who enjoy tracking the differences between Original and budget pressings.
