G. Darius

G. Darius is a horizontally scrolling shoot ’em up arcade game originally released by Taito in 1997, and the fourth instalment in the long-running Darius series. It was the first entry in the franchise to use three-dimensional polygonal graphics, while retaining the classic two-dimensional horizontal scrolling gameplay the series was known for. The PAL PlayStation port was published by THQ. Four PAL variants are catalogued across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, all as Original pressings in Full Jewel PAL cases on a single disc, all carrying Hologram A on the case. Language coverage across the PAL set is English only. The title is of steady interest to collectors with a focus on shmups and arcade ports from the late 1990s PAL PlayStation library.
