Fighting Force is a beat ’em up developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive in November 1997. Players choose from four characters and battle through seven levels of urban and science-fiction environments against the forces of criminal mastermind Dr. Dex Zeng, using fists, weapons, and environmental objects. The game was highly anticipated following Core Design’s success with Tomb Raider.

A single PAL variant has been catalogued, a broad multi-territory Original release covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram B on the case, a single disc supporting English, French, and German, and a release date of 15 November 1997, carrying serial SLES-00731.

Fighting Force met with mixed reviews on release despite its pre-launch profile. As a Core Design and Eidos title from the peak Tomb Raider era, it retains genuine collector interest and complete copies are not difficult to find in the UK.
