Explosive Racing
SLES-00716
Initially Released 5 December 1997
Explosive Racing is a racing game developed by Toka and published by Softgold, released in the PAL region in December 1997. The game begins with two tracks and six vehicles available, with additional content unlocked by completing modes in specific ways. A two-player mode is supported via the PlayStation Link Cable, and both Practice and Championship modes are included at launch.
A single PAL variant has been catalogued, a broad multi-territory Original release covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands under one pressing. It comes in the Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A on the case, a single English-language disc, and a release date of 5 December 1997, carrying serial SLES-00716.
Softgold was a smaller European publisher and Explosive Racing received limited wider coverage, placing it firmly in the obscure corner of the PAL library. With a single known pressing, this is a one-variant title, though complete copies are not especially easy to find.
