Excalibur 2555 A.D.

SLES-00478
Initially Released 15 March 1997

Excalibur 2555 A.D. is an action-adventure game developed by Tempest Software and published in Europe by Telstar, setting the Arthurian legend in a futuristic context with third-person gameplay drawing comparisons to Tomb Raider. Released for PlayStation in 1997 and later ported to Windows by Fish (UK), the game offers a mix of combat and exploration across a reimagined ancient England. Three PAL variants are catalogued, all Original pressings, with releases covering Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. The UK, Germany, Spain, France, and Denmark are grouped in one multi-country pressing, with France separately catalogued under the same serial and Italy carrying a distinct serial. All pressings are in Full Jewel PAL cases without holograms. A Telstar Yellow Walton on Thames Registration Card is documented as loose paperwork for the main multi-country pressing. A modest but interesting PAL action-adventure from the mid-1990s.
