Eternal Eyes
SLES-02270
Initially Released 22 November 2000
Eternal Eyes is a tactical role-playing game developed by TamTam and published by Sunsoft. The story follows the orphaned siblings Luke and Elena and their friends Mouse and Nicol, who discover that their parents belonged to an ancient race able to control living dolls known as Mappets. The four must master this power and stop a villain from being resurrected. In Japan the game was released under a different title, and it reached Europe a little later.
Only one PAL variant is catalogued, an Original release with the earliest date recorded as 22 November 2000. That single pressing covers the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, and so it includes English, French, German, Italian and Spanish language options on one disc. It is supplied in a Full Jewel PAL case bearing the Hologram B mark.
With a single shared multi-country edition and no known alternatives, Eternal Eyes is simple to track down but easy to overlook. Role-playing fans who enjoy the more obscure Japanese imports that Sunsoft brought to Europe at the end of the PlayStation’s life will find it a worthwhile addition to the shelf.
