Dune
Dune 2000 is a real-time strategy game developed by Westwood Studios and published in PAL territories by Electronic Arts, released for the PlayStation on 4 February 2000 as a port of the 1998 Windows title. The game is a partial remake of Dune II set in Frank Herbert’s Dune universe, with three playable factions, Harkonnen, Atreides, and Ordos, fighting for control of Arrakis and its spice production.
The PAL release landscape comprises six catalogued variants spanning the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Sweden, distributed across four per-country serials in the SLES-02247 to SLES-02250 sequence. The UK SLES-02247 serial uniquely covers three of the six variants, including a Swedish-market English-language pressing, the standard UK Original, and a later EA Classics budget-tier reissue. All variants ship as single-disc releases in Full Jewel PAL cases carrying Hologram B production-window stickers. Loose paperwork documented across the line includes EA Consumerlink registration cards for the UK pressing and EA Claritas FR registration cards for the French pressing, both standard EA period inserts.
