Disruptor
SLES-00535
Initially Released 15 December 1996
Disruptor is a 1996 first-person shooter developed by Insomniac Games and published in PAL territories by Interplay, notable as the debut release from the studio that would later create Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and the Resistance series. The game follows a soldier of the LightStormer Corps equipped with implanted psychic powers to fight alien forces across Mars and various space stations. The game received positive reviews but was a commercial failure. Three PAL variants are catalogued across France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, and the UK, all Original pressings in Multiway Jewel One Disk cases without holograms. The UK, Norway, Spain, and Italy share one multi-country pressing, while France and Germany each received a dedicated country serial under separate pressings. All carry English language content with some French and German support. As Insomniac’s first release, Disruptor holds significant collector interest for those tracing the studio’s history.
