Discworld Noir

SLES-01549
Initially Released 15 January 2000

Discworld Noir is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Perfect Entertainment (with the PlayStation version handled by Teeny Weeny Games) and published by GT Interactive Software. Set in Terry Pratchett’s satirical Discworld universe, the game follows Lewton, a wisecracking private investigator, as he navigates the dark underbelly of Ankh-Morpork, parodying film noir classics such as Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon. Pratchett himself contributed to the story and dialogue.

The PAL release landscape spans three variants covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, all released as originals in Full Jewel PAL cases on a single disc. All three variants carry a Hologram B on the case. The earliest PAL release was 15 January 2000. Language coverage includes English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish across the variants. A modestly catalogued title, Discworld Noir holds considerable collector appeal given its cult status and the unusual circumstances of its development.

Collector Notes

The Author of the Discworld series Sir Terry Pratchet, was famous for signing anything fans asked him to, so there will be a few copies of Discworld games floating around with PTerry’s signature to find.
