Discworld II

Discworld II (known in North America as Discworld II: Mortality Bytes!) is a 1996 point-and-click adventure developed by Perfect Entertainment and published by Psygnosis, ported to PlayStation in 1997. Based on Terry Pratchett’s beloved Discworld novels, particularly drawing from Reaper Man and Moving Pictures, the game follows the wizard Rincewind (voiced by Eric Idle) tasked with coaxing Death out of an impromptu retirement.

Four PAL variants have been catalogued, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and the Netherlands. All are Original releases in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc each. Language-specific serials exist for the English/Italian/Spanish pressing (SLES-00793), French (SLES-00794), and German (SLES-00795), reflecting genuine localisation. A Manual Registration Card in green specific to Discworld 2 has been documented as loose paperwork included with multiple variants.

The Saturn port was published by Sega exclusively for Europe. Discworld II is a well-regarded adventure title with strong collector appeal among both PAL historians and Pratchett fans.
