Destruction Derby 2

SLES-00299
Initially Released 15 February 1997

Destruction Derby 2 is a vehicular combat racing game developed by Reflections Interactive and published by Psygnosis, the sequel to the well-regarded original. The game expands on its predecessor with up to seven circuits and three main modes, Wrecking Racing, Stock Car, and Destruction Derby, each emphasising different combinations of racing and car-to-car destruction. The PAL release arrived on 15 February 1997.

Four variants are currently catalogued in the database, spanning the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal. The majority of releases use the Multiway Jewel One Disk case format with no hologram on the case, while a later Platinum edition switches to the Full Jewel PAL format with a hologram on the case. All variants contain a single disc with English-only content. A Manual Registration Card for the Destruction Derby 2 Platinum is documented as loose paperwork for the Platinum edition. The breadth of territories covered and the mix of case formats make this a varied and collectible title across its four known pressings.
