CTR: Crash Team Racing

CTR: Crash Team Racing is the 1999 kart racer developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, the fourth Crash Bandicoot game and the final Naughty Dog entry in the series. The PAL physical landscape is broad, with ten catalogued variants spanning the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Greece, all on the SCES-02105 master serial. Release types include the Original launch pressing, the Special Bundle blister-pack cardboard editions and the later Platinum budget reissues. All variants are housed in Full Jewel PAL cases with Hologram B on the cases and a single disc inside, supporting Dutch, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish language options. Country-specific differentiation across the Originals is principally by EAN barcode, and the Special Bundle pressings are notable for their unusual external packaging that frequently does not survive intact secondhand. As one of the headline first-party platformer-adjacent releases of the late PSX era, CTR remains a popular and well-collected title.
