Chocobo Racing

Chocobo Racing is a 1999 kart racing spin-off from Squaresoft, drawing on the Final Fantasy series with cameo appearances from Cloud, Cid, the Black Mage, Mog and other recurring Square characters across a soundtrack of reworked Final Fantasy themes. The PAL physical landscape is currently sparse, with a single catalogued variant on SLES-02079 issued as an Original on a single English-language disc. Country of distribution, case type and hologram details are not yet documented and physical research on this entry is ongoing. As a Square spin-off published outside the typical Final Fantasy numbering, Chocobo Racing carries strong appeal for completionist Final Fantasy collectors despite its lukewarm critical reception, and well preserved PAL boxed copies remain a popular target on the secondhand market.
