SLES-00711
Initially Released 15 April 1998
Chill is a snowboarding game developed by Silicon Dreams Studio and published by Eidos Interactive in 1998. The game features fifty tracks spread across five mountains, with a two-player multiplayer mode supporting both vertical and horizontal split-screen play. It was designed by Jez Sherlock.
Four PAL variants have been catalogued, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. All are Original releases in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc each, supporting English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Country-specific pressings exist for the UK, France, Germany, and a combined Italy and Spain pressing, each with distinct EAN barcodes. All share serial SLES-00711 and a release date of 15 April 1998.
A Sega Saturn version of Chill was completed but ultimately left unreleased by Sega, with the Saturn build later surfacing online in 2011. For snowboarding genre collectors or Eidos enthusiasts, all four PAL pressings are straightforward to complete, with the Italy and Spain variant being slightly the hardest to find.
