Carmageddon

Carmageddon on PlayStation is a vehicular combat game developed by SCi Entertainment Group and published in PAL territories by Virgin Interactive. The PS1 version is notably distinct from the original PC game, having been rebuilt almost from scratch due to hardware constraints, with entirely different levels and 3D zombie models replacing sprites. The game had a reputation for controversy stemming from its pedestrian-targeting mechanics.

Three PAL variants are catalogued. Two share the serial SLES-01960, covering the UK, France, Italy, and Spain with English, French, Italian, and Spanish language support: one is an original pressing released on 1 October 1999, the other is a UbiSoft Exclusive reissue with a different barcode and no confirmed release date. A third variant under SLES-01961 covers the UK, France, Germany, and Spain with English, French, German, and Spanish language support, also released on 1 October 1999. Case type and hologram details remain unconfirmed across all three variants.
