Broken Sword

Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars is a 1996 point-and-click adventure game developed by British studio Revolution Software and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. The game follows American tourist George Stobbart and French journalist Nico Collard as they unravel a conspiracy linked to the Knights Templar, and is widely regarded as one of the finest adventure games of the era.

Five PAL variants are catalogued, all Original release type and all presented in Full Jewel PAL cases with no hologram on the case. Rather than a single multi-territory pressing, the game received distinct national editions: separate releases for the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy, each with their own serial code and localised language content. Language coverage across the five variants spans English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. All are single-disc releases with no bundled demo discs documented. The earliest PAL release date is 15 December 1996.
