Broken Sword II

Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror is a point-and-click adventure developed by Revolution Software and published in Europe by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, released in November 1997. The game follows American patent lawyer George Stobbart and French journalist Nico Collard as they investigate an ancient Mayan conspiracy. It is the sequel to the acclaimed Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars.

Five PAL variants have been catalogued, with dedicated language-specific pressings for the UK (SCES-00798), France (SCES-00799), Germany (SCES-00800), Italy (SCES-00801), and Spain (SCES-00802). All are Original releases in Full Jewel PAL cases with a single disc each, each in the language of its respective territory. All share a release date of 14 November 1997.

The five fully localised pressings reflect Sony CEE’s commitment to the title as a flagship adventure game release. A remaster was released in 2010 for iOS with other platforms following in 2011. For collectors, assembling the complete five-variant PAL set is an enjoyable goal.
