Black Dawn

Black Dawn is a helicopter combat simulation developed by Black Ops Entertainment and published by Virgin Interactive, released for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1996. Players pilot the advanced AH-69 Mohawk combat helicopter through seven campaigns and multiple missions, including hostage rescue objectives alongside the primary search-and-destroy tasks.

One PAL variant is currently catalogued, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain as a combined multi-territory pressing. The release is presented in a Full Jewel PAL case with no hologram on the case, and contains a single English-language disc. The earliest PAL release date is 10 February 1997.

No loose paperwork or bundled demo discs have been documented. Black Dawn drew comparisons with Soviet Strike on release, sharing its helicopter-based combat perspective. With only one PAL variant catalogued, this is a clean and uncomplicated entry for collectors of mid-1990s action and combat titles on the PlayStation.
