BattleSport

BattleSport is a futuristic sports game originally developed by Cyclone Studios for the 3DO and subsequently ported and published by Acclaim Entertainment for PlayStation. Players choose a vehicle and compete in arena matches to score goals while using weapons to disrupt opponents. One PAL variant is catalogued, covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands under serial SLES-00628, released on 1 August 1997. The release ships in a Full Jewel PAL case on a single disc in English, with no hologram on the case. The game’s origins on the discontinued 3DO platform give it a degree of curiosity value as a cross-platform port from a failed system, and the single wide-territory PAL release is straightforward to document.
