BallBlazer Champions
SLES-00592
Initially Released 10 October 1997
BallBlazer Champions is an action-sports game developed by Factor 5 and published in Europe by CTO SpA, a remake of the 1985 Commodore 64 classic. The game offers futuristic one-on-one arena soccer with weapons, requiring players to win three four-minute rounds against eight challengers across practice, tournament, and free-play modes. Six PAL variants are catalogued across Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, Sweden, France, and the Netherlands, with separate serials for Germany, Italy, and Spain, and shared serials for the UK and Sweden, France, and the Netherlands. All releases use Full Jewel PAL cases on a single disc, with holograms on the cases. Languages include German, Italian, Spanish, and English. A Virgin Interactive 3266 Folded Registration Card is documented as loose paperwork with the UK and Sweden pressing. The spread across six variants with multiple publisher arrangements makes this a rich set for collectors of LucasArts and CTO European releases.
