Akuji the Heartless

Akuji the Heartless is an action-adventure game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive for the PlayStation, released in North America in late 1998 and in Europe in early 1999. Built on a modified version of the Gex: Enter the Gecko engine, the game combines hack-and-slash combat with platform elements. It received mixed reviews on release. Four PAL variants are catalogued, all original releases in Full Jewel PAL cases with Hologram B on their cases, released on 26 February 1999. Two pressings cover combined UK and France groupings, one covers Italy and Spain together, and one covers Germany. Language support spans English, French, and German. An Eidos Interactive Knutsford Registration Card and an Eidos Mission Qui Card FR are documented as loose paperwork across the set. Complete examples retaining the relevant paperwork are the most desirable form of each pressing.
