Agent Armstrong is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by King of the Jungle and published by Virgin Interactive, inspired by the run-and-gun tradition of games such as Contra and Metal Slug. Originally released for PC in 1996 before arriving on PlayStation, the game received a modest critical reception. Only one PAL variant has been catalogued, a multi-country Original pressing covering the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain released in October 1997, in a Full Jewel PAL case with a Hologram A on the case. Language support spans English, French, German, and Spanish. The single-variant PAL release and Virgin Interactive publishing mark this as a standard mid-period PAL release, of interest primarily to collectors pursuing complete Virgin Interactive or King of the Jungle catalogues.
