Actua Soccer 2
SLES-00021
Initially Released 28 November 1997
Actua Soccer 2, sometimes marketed as Actua Soccer 98, is a football simulation game developed and published by Gremlin Interactive, the follow-up to the original Actua Soccer and capitalising on interest around the 1998 FIFA World Cup. The game featured improved 3D graphics, a new scenario mode, national teams, and commentary from Barry Davies and Trevor Brooking.
The database catalogues three PAL variants across France, Germany, Italy, and the UK, all Original releases dated 28 November 1997. The UK and France share one pressing using Hologram A on the case, while Italy and Germany each have separate regional variants with standard holograms. All three are presented in Full Jewel PAL cases. Language coverage includes English, French, German, and Italian. No loose paperwork or bundled demos are documented across any variant.
The three-way territorial split, with distinct serials for Italy and Germany, makes Actua Soccer 2 a more nuanced collecting proposition than the original game.
