Actua Ice Hockey

Actua Ice Hockey is an ice hockey game from the Actua Sports franchise, developed and published by Gremlin Graphics. A sequel followed in 1999.

The earliest PAL release is dated 10 February 1998, and four variants are catalogued across the UK, France and Italy. There are two release types, the UK Original and the Zoo Classics budget reissue, which appears in the UK, Italy and France. The Zoo Classics issues use a different serial from the Original, so they are best treated as a separate line when sorting a collection.

Packaging is consistent, with the Full Jewel PAL case and a single disk throughout. Hologram B cases are documented on the UK Original and on the UK and Italian Zoo Classics releases. The disk offers an unusually wide language selection, covering English, Finnish, French, German and Swedish, reflecting the sport’s popularity in northern Europe.

For collectors, the Original is the more sought-after pressing, while the Zoo Classics copies offer an easy route to a complete set. The small variant count makes this a manageable title to finish.
