Actua Golf
SLES-00015
Initially Released 15 October 1996
Actua Golf, known as VR Golf ‘97 in North America, is a golf simulation game developed and published by Gremlin Interactive, released in 1996 for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. It was part of the publisher’s successful Actua Sports series and offered full 3D terrain and character models alongside two courses and customisable characters.
The database catalogues two PAL variants, both Original releases, covering a broad range of territories including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark. Both use Full Jewel PAL cases with no hologram, and both are single-disc releases in English, French, and German. No loose paperwork or bundled demos are documented for either variant. The two pressings are distinguished by their country distribution and separate EAN barcodes, suggesting regional packaging differences.
As part of the Actua Sports family, Actua Golf is a steady if unremarkable collector target, primarily of interest to those completing the full Gremlin sports catalogue.
