2Xtreme
SCES-00400
Initially Released 1 March 1997
2Xtreme is an extreme sports racing game developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, serving as a sequel to ESPN Extreme Games. Players compete across 12 courses worldwide using four disciplines: rollerblading, skateboarding, mountain biking, and snowboarding. Unlike its predecessor, the game no longer carries ESPN licensing.
One PAL variant is currently catalogued, a UK-exclusive release. The game is presented in the Mini Jewel Black Bordered PAL case format with no hologram on the case, and contains a single English-language disc. The earliest PAL release date is 1 March 1997.
No loose paperwork or bundled demo discs have been documented. As a first-party Sony title released only in the UK PAL market, 2Xtreme has a relatively limited physical footprint in European collections. The Mini Jewel Black Bordered format used for this release is consistent with a number of Sony’s own PAL titles from this period, and the single UK variant makes it a straightforward if occasionally elusive title to locate.
